Qatar Airways surpasses Airline Ratings’ quality scoring system and is crowned as a benchmark company in the aviation sector.
Airline Ratings, the aviation industry’s quality rating organization, has chosen Qatar Airways as Airline of the Year. In addition, the company has won the award for Best Business Class for the fifth consecutive year, as well as Best Catering.
The airline exceeds Airline Ratings requirements
The Airline Ratings organization holds its annual awards ceremony, which, divided into various categories, certifies the quality of fleet, in-flight entertainment, catering, crew, fleet age, passenger feedback, profitability, safety, innovation and future capacity. Qatar Airways tops a list that includes 25 international carriers, with Korean Air and Cathay Pacific Airways completing the podium. The first European airline to appear on the list is Air France/KLM, in 6th place.
Singapore Airlines won the award for the Best First Class, Emirates won Best Premium Economy Class and Air New Zealand won Best Economy Class. Virgin Australia was recognized for its cabin crew, while Australian airline Qantas also triumphed for its Lounges.
