Iryo presents new routes and partnerships that will connect up to 54 destinations this summer.

The railway operator introduces new developments that include routes and connections, allowing its passengers to expand their travel options.

Iryo, the company backed by Trenitalia, Air Nostrum, and Globalvia, presents its new developments for this summer, which include new routes and connections that will allow passengers to expand their travel options. Thus, Iryo Conecta enters its second phase following its launch last January.

The ambition to design the best trip

Since its arrival in our country in November 2022, Iryo has managed to sell 10 million tickets in just a year and a half, achieving a market share of over 25%. Now, it is facing the second phase of its connectivity strategy by strengthening its multimodal model alongside its technology partner, Omio. This collaboration is what has allowed the launch of the solution ‘Más destinos iryo-Conecta,’ which is already available on their website.

This integration means that travelers can combine different modes of transport, including train, bus, boat, and plane, through the more than 150 initial routes proposed by the railway company. According to their own forecasts, by this June, they will reach 400 travel options, representing an increase of nearly 170%. To shape its Conecta Bus strategy, Iryo has established a partnership with Vectalia, which will bring it closer to coastal cities in Alicante such as Santa Pola and Gran Alacant. In this way, Iryo will take its users beyond train stations, offering a comprehensive service that will expand its growth objectives.

For its part, the shipping company GNV, through another recently sealed partnership, will enable the sale of train and ferry connections reaching the islands of Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, and Menorca. Thus, Iryo will become the first company in our country to offer this possibility starting next July. “Since the start of its project, Iryo has been clear about its mission: to revolutionize mobility on the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe by offering the best travel experience. Based on that premise, we have designed the best trains on the market by combining quality, speed, and comfort. But that’s not enough. Iryo’s purpose goes beyond connecting point A to point B. We want to become leaders in multimodality in Spain by offering our travelers the possibility of door-to-door travel, adapting to each of their individual needs. A purpose with which today we welcome our new travel partners who share our values and want to be part of a more integrated and sustainable mobility concept.”, Simone Gorini, CEO and General Manager of Iryo, has emphasized.
