The French airline announces a new route to the African continent in its long-haul network.
Following the announcement of the first additions to its 2024-2025 winter schedule, Air France announces an additional destination in East Africa, one of the most sought-after locations for incentive travels: Tanzania. On November 18, the French airline will start flying from Paris-Charles De Gaulle airport to Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) as a continuation of Zanzibar.
A circular route operated three times a week
This new route announced by Air France replaces the existing route between Paris, Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam. The latter destination will continue to be accessible via Amsterdam with KLM, which operates the Tanzanian capital 7 days a week as a continuation of Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. Coordination between KLM and Air France on these two routes will be key to offering all passengers a wider choice of days and times of operation.
Air France flight schedules (in local time):
- AF874: departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 10:10 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, arrival in Zanzibar at 9:10 pm. Departure from Zanzibar at 22.55h, arrival at Kilimanjaro at 23.55h (same day).
- AF874 (same number): departure from Kilimanjaro at 01.25h on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 08.50h (same day).
